A MiniBarCamp is a BarCamp that usually exhibits one or more of the following characteristics:
- is conceived and organized within a week
- lasts around a half-day or so
- has as little as 3-5 parties/participants involved
- does not have a registration procedure
- is organized around a very specific topic or theme
- takes place somewhere that has never hosted a BarCamp
- is an excuse to get together with like-minded folks and geek out for a few hours...
The idea behind the MiniBarCamp is to encourage people to get together, share experiences, and innovate even in small group settings. The organization of a MiniBarCamp may often times lead to a full-size BarCamp in the near future. So, get the word out in your community and put one together soon!
