Organizers

Sponsorship / Budget (Goal < 1000$):

  • Venue < 1000$
  • Food = 100$ (Juice, fruit plates and pastries for the scheduling jam)
  • Swag = 100$ (Stickers or other assorted keep things)
  • General supplies = 100$ (whiteboards? paper? misc?)

Mobile Muse will sponsor this event with $1000 cash plus Jean's direct assistance. Other parties may want to co-sponsor (WinBC?), but I'll let them step up if they want.

Equipment (Borrow everything!):

  • WiMax Modems (x2)
  • WiMax >>> WiFi rebroadcasters (x2)
  • Extension cords (x3)
  • Power generators?
  • Projector(s) = Mobile Muse can get one video projector for free for the day, but we might prefer screens since we're outdoors. (Note - the N82 has video out, which I'm keen to demo on a big screen.)
  • Stickers or other goodies (x200)

Venue:

  • Is it important to have the Scheduling Rock Out in one place? We should reserve a central venue for introductions and conclusion.
  • Preferably cheap (read free), central and covered. (I'll put in a ping to Workspace and see what they'd want to do it again)

Recruitment:

  • Write a MobileCampVancouver2 introduction letter. (John) see below!
  • Contact everyone who showed up for MobileCampVancouver (John)
  • Put word out to all local groups that might be interested. (John)
  • Blog/email/ping to groups in the Mobile Muse community. (Jean)
  • Invite students from SFU/CMNS "488" (Mobile Information Society) class (Richard)
