Ideas/Questions from workshop on the future of mobile youth activism:

-using mobile phones to change behaviours... sustainable practices, creating applications that can be used in every day

-find applications that are developed from the ground up, participatory design

-"the future is already here" - william gibson, it's just not well distributed yet. it's going to happen on a much larger scale, within the next 10 years

-create transparency in the community, project it out

-more accessible to use video, feeling the energy of movements and accessing people who have different literacies. more video and live audio

-how we can incorporate text into video, span out into different global areas where they don't have the gadgets to view?

-the most exciting thing is when you have internet enabled services via SMS plus geographic location

(location is a double edged sword--- can be dangerous for activists)

-you should be able to send out a flag "i want to #$%^* shit up" and have people around you see that and participate
