The first draft of this letter will be co-created during the "Open Letter" session.  Then for a period of time (perhaps a week) it will be open for edits so that attendees from Day 1 & Day 2 can evolve it, before it is printed + sent to the respective parties

 

Objectives of Letter:

  • Increase awareness of Government 2.0
  • Government 2.0 Camp occured, here are the locations (URL) resources
  • Indicate that there is a Tribe that has been united
  • The Tribe has ideas, reasources, passion to facilitate positive technological change both inside & outside the government
  • Solicit support (any kind not $) more of these events
  • Invite the President and CIO to attend the next Government 2.0 Camp to participate/speak
  • Add your objectives

Dear Barack Obama & Vivek Kundra,

 

Chose your own adventure Gov 2.0 Campers!

 

Intro

The executive branch leads a large part of the federal workforce. While the Whitehouse cannot to everything, we believe it is critically important that you set the tone for the senior leaders of government agencies. They need to know that this is the right direction for the government, it is OK to fail, and citizens want to help them succeed.

 

Body

The group respresented by #gov20camp intimately involved in driving these changes across the government. To help us accomplish our ideas, we ask for your top-level leadership in the following three areas:
