BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees. A ProductCamp is BarCamp for product manager and marketers.

There have recently been several very succesful product camps, for example in Austin and Toronto. And in Amsterdam we have had many succesful tech conferences. There is the general TheNextWeb conference and several developer-oriented gatherings like Fronteers and Kings of Code.

So I thought it was high time for an unconference for us product managers and marketers, and created this page. To get things started I created this page, emailed some product people I know to find out about interested and proposed a date - Sunday 18 October.

Most important thing now is to get in touch with all people who are interested in participating - presenting a session or just attending. Please drop me an email at mark (at) agilician (dot) com if you are interested or simply want to be kept in the loop!

Event details

When

  • Proposed date is Sunday 18 October
    • Weekends, especially Sundays seem to work best for unconferences.

    • An international product management conference is held in Amsterdam on 21/22 October (http://www.practicalproductlines.org/ppl2009/)
  • Proposals for other dates welcome!

Where

  • No idea - venue needs to be cheap / affordable and be able to accomodate 50-100 people in one large gathering area and 2-3 smaller rooms for sessions.
  • Who can help with finding a venue?
