ProductCamp: A collaborative unconference about Product Marketing and Management

In the spirit of BarCamp, ProductCamp is a collaborative, user organized event. The original BarCamps were centered around developers, whereas our ProductCamp will be around Product Marketing and Management topics. The spirit of ProductCamp is that there are no "attendees," since everyone who comes participates in some manner: either presenting, leading a roundtable discussion, helping with logistics, securing sponsorship, setting up wifi, supplying food, etc.

To help us get an accurate headcount, if you are planning on coming to ProductCamp, please click the "Edit Page" button at the top of this page, and add yourself as a Participant in the list below!

Proposed sessions will be voted on by the ProductCamp participants with the most popular sessions getting best scheduling. If you can't think of a session to lead, check out the section below called "Topics I would like to hear about" for ideas...

  • Startup Product Management: How to Build a Successful PM Practice at a Startup (Paul Young)
  • Roundtable Discussion - Global Product Management: Working with Offshore Development and Manufacturing (Paul Young)

Topics I would like to hear about

These are topics you would like to hear about. Edit this page (see button at the top) and add your own. Also, these are the perfect opportunity for a ProductCamp participant (you!) to speak about a topic you know about and teach the rest of us. ProductCamp is an unconference, so there will be a lot of 1st time speakers - just do it! When you decide to take on one of these topics, move it to the proposed sessions section above and put your name on it!

  • How Product Managers can work in an Agile shop
  • Tips for finding and interviewing customers and potentials
  • Using low/no cost methods to connect with the Market
  • Effective time management for PM's
  • Priority setting and roadmapping
  • Dealing with GUIs in requirements
