Welcome to the home of ProductCampAustin!

What is ProductCamp?

In the spirit of BarCamp, ProductCamp is a collaborative, user organized unconference, focused on Product Management and Marketing topics. At ProductCamp there are no "attendees," since everyone participates in some manner: presenting, leading a roundtable discussion, helping with logistics, securing sponsorship, setting up wifi, or volunteering. ProductCamp is a great opportunity for you to learn from, teach to, and network with professionals involved in the Product Management, Marketing, and Development process ! From ProductCampAustin experience, it is understood that everyone has something they can teach and everyone has something they can learn.

While the original ProductCamp was in Silicon Valley, California, we in Austin, with inspiration and leadership from Paul Young, think we've done a good job of maintaining that participant-centered, creative and fun style, but are expanding ProductCampAustin into a more comprehensive scope. ProductCampAustin conducts several ongoing event series - the original ProductCamp format, and two Austin originals, ProductPotluckAustin and ProductPartyAustin. Planning is underway for other means of building and serving a following around ProductCampAustin.  Call it a brand, community, experience or whatever, ProductCampAustin is "the place" for active, novice and experienced Product Managers and Marketers to develop their craft, learn from each other, network in meaningful ways and have a lot of fun.

ProductCampAustin is very happy to call The AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center its home venue.  The Center provides ProductCampAustin with auditorium-style and conference styles meeting rooms for its events and sessions that are well-equipped with whiteboards, projector connections, Internet access and about anything needed for professional learning and interaction.  Gabiel's in the lobby is a great place for food and beverage before and after a ProductCampAustin event and is the venue for ProductPartyAustin events.  The Center is also a great place to stay for anyone coming into Austin form out of town for a ProductCampAustin event.  It is one of Austin's best kept secrets on accommodations in the middle of Austin and the Univerity of Texas campus.

ProductCampAustin and You ...

ProductCampAustin events are about Product Management but are open to all.  For the most part, the events are free to attend thanks to our wonderful sponsors. What is expected of you, if you join the community and attend the events, is to participate.  There are no spectators, no one will be putting on a workshop, session, or event for you, but lots of people will come together for learning, networking and having fun with you.  Got something to something to help others understand and use ?  Offer to lead a ProductCampAustin or ProductPotluckAustin session. Skilled and semi-skilled folks are needed for the behind-the-scenes work of the events and organizations, so volunteer.  More information about getting connected with ProductCampAustin is below.
