Welcome to Product Camp NYC

In the spirit of BarCamp (www.barcamp.org), ProductCamp is a collaborative, user organized professional conference, focused on Product Management and Marketing topics. At ProductCamp everyone participates in some manner: presenting, leading a discussion or showcasing a best practice, or sharing their experiences. Others help with logistics, securing sponsorships, organizing speakers, or settng up/cleaning up.  This is a self organizing collaborative event that is designed be a fun, rewarding and a unique experience.  ProductCamp is a great opportunity for participants to learn from, teach to, and network with professionals involved in the Product Management, Marketing, and  Development process from the New York City Metro area – and around the world!

Speakers & Sessions

The idea of an unconference came together when people realized that the best times they were having at conferences were the times between sessions - where people with like interests could meet ad hoc.  The spirit of BarCamp is to facilitate this type of interaction for an entire day.  Rather than having scheduled speakers, everyone who is interested piches sessions the morning of the event.  Those session receiving the highest votes are put on the schedule and groups form for itnense group learning.  Yeah - you think it won't work - but it does!

How it will work

  • Starting at 8:30 a.m., we will open up a scheduling wall for dessions, discussions, topics and panels.
  • At 9:00 a.m., interested speakers will have 1  minute to pitch who they are, the discussion topic, and why attendees should attend their session. Register to become a speaker at the event.
  • At 9:20 A.M., voting will begin and the schedule will be posted for the day.

Vote on sessions that will be held during Product Camp NYC.  While final voting and session selection will take place the day of the event, voting in advance helps us determine if we have the right space and the right topics.  We may also try to tap into the area's luminaries for panel discussions if there is enough interest in a particular area.  So speak up!  This is your day!
