pCampNYC: Kudos, controversy, and ideas for future pCamps by Alan Armstrong
Since Kodak so graciously LENT us their CMO for the morning, and since several people asked me if there were any more Kodak white papers left (they were all snatched up seconds after Jeff Hayzlett finished his talk) I thought it a good idea to enable anyone who wants one to download it from here. Remember, it's an independent study by the Winterberry Group, about "Creative Workflow Management." Winterberry Group's White Paper -- Creative Workflow Management -- July 2009.pdf
Welcome to ProductCamp NYC
In the spirit of BarCamp (www.barcamp.org), ProductCamp is a collaborative, user organized professional conference, focused on Product Management and Marketing topics. At ProductCamp everyone participates in some manner: presenting, leading a discussion, showcasing a best practice, or sharing their experiences. Others help with logistics, securing sponsorships, organizing sessions, or setting up/cleaning up. This is a self organizing collaborative event that is designed be a fun, rewarding and a unique experience.
ProductCamp is a great opportunity for participants to learn from, teach to, and network with professionals involved in the Product Management, Marketing, and Development process from the New York City Metro area – and around the world! [CLICK HERE TO REGISTER]

Although this event is free for attendees, we are supplying plenty of food, paying for facilities, and other stuff. We need some money. Hey, nothing is completely free. We have two sponsorship levels. Please help! Send email to Chuck Gehman (cgehman@mimeo.com) to learn more. So far, we have several sponsors already lined up:

and several others. MANY THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS FOR MAKING PCAMP POSSIBLE!
Micro-Sponsorship Now Available!
Want to advertise at Product Camp NYC but have a limited budget? Sign up for a micro-sponsorship. $25 gets you a spot to place a single stack of your business cards on a table in our high-traffic voting/networking/and breakfast/lunch room. The table will have a large “Micro-Sponsorship” sign above it to direct attendees to look at your cards. You need to put your cards on the table the morning of Product Camp. Contact the New York Product Management Association (c/o Sequent Learning Networks) at 212-647-9100 to arrange payment.
Rather than having pre-scheduled speakers, everyone who is interested in leading a session provides a brief (that's about a minute) pitch in the morning before we start. Attendees then vote and those sessions receiving the highest votes are put on the schedule and groups form for intense learning. Click here to propose a session or topic and view topics that will be held during Product Camp NYC. Similar to other Product Camps, we are looking for a variety of sessions - roundtables, workshops, and panel discussions are welcome! So share a best practice, talk about how a particular methodology works in the real world, or present and discuss a hot topic on the minds of product managers and marketers.
And don't forget - upload your session or an introduction to your session on our Brainshark portal. Attendees can then view what your session is about prior to the event and your chances increase for being selected!
