What is it?

A BarCamp is a user generated conference — open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by attendees. Whether you're a public media buff with hard-hitting opinions, or you just consider yourself a dabbler, be ready to learn and let your voice be heard!

The conference is casual, and (most importantly) fun!

When?

Opening Night - November 14

Barcamp - November 15 & 16

Where?

Santa Cruz, CA

Why Santa Cruz?

Quiddities, a Santa Cruz CA web development firm, received a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation for their project RadioEngage.

RadioEngage will provide a next generation open source solution for public radio stations. The platform will be developed for Santa Cruz local public radio station KUSP and made available for other public radio stations to implement.

KUSP serves the Central Coast of California and is excited to embrace new open source technologies to better serve its community.
