What's the Schedule?
Friday Evening - We'll gather for dinner and drinks to connect and catalyze the weekend events. We'll build the grid for Saturday & Sunday.
Day 1 - Customer/Community + Industry Day (Bay Area/Santa Cruz pubmedia listeners + pubmedia folks + producers + station managers + hosts) Invites the local community to participate in the future of public media conversation. The goal will be to gain a richer understanding of how public media can better serve the needs of the community and how we can leverage current and emerging technologies. The open conference format will provide an arena to leverage the expertise of the participants and share the collective knowledge of the group to forward the evolution and sustainability of public media.
Day 2 - Technology Day (pubmedia + geeks) Hackathon day for programmers to develop a relevant pubmedia project or widget. Participants will learn from others as they go, but the focus is not on instruction. The outcome of the day would be to create working software.
