One of the main uses of PBworks is for simple project management. Rather than being forced to conform to a particular software's preferences, PBworks lets you build a process that fits your processes. This template is a basic guide--feel free to modify as you see fit.
Remember, you can create your own customized version of any PBworks template simply by tagging that page with the keyword "template". From then on, any user of your workspace will be able to use your page template.
Wake The Sleeping Giant
Overview
This project is intended to fill a specific set of user needs. It is based on the following data:
- In the US there are millions of properties and owners that could/should be installing a renewable energy system.
- We will dubb this group "The Sleeping Giant"
Objectives
This project should have the following impact:
- If we can wake this sleeping giant there would be an economic and environmental impact like none other
- If we can wake this sleeping giant the US could become truly energy independent
- If we can wake this sleeping giant our children will have a much, much better place to live
Team
- Mike
- I could use a few hundred or thousand more Team Members to help. This is a very big giant and it has a hangover. It does not want to be disturbed.
Timeline
- Kickoff: Sunday, September 20, 2009
- Completion Date: For me - When I die. For other members of the Team - Until they die.
- Release: Saturday
- Celebration: Sunday
Tasks/Milestones
- Pick a geographic area - Town, Village, City, County... to establish a benchmark
- Find out how many solar or wind energy systems were installed last month and last year
- Set a goal to double those numbers. Example: If 1 system was installed last month then next month we will want to show two systems have been installed
- Get the word out that this Team was responsible for "doubling" the number of renewable energy systems installed in the XX area
- Repeat the above process
- Pull out a calculator. Enter a number say: 1. Multiply that number by two. Multiply the results by two. Do that a total of 12 times.
Conclusion
Anyone that does the math with realize the impact they have made. We will have woken the the Sleeping Giant.
