PresentationCamp LA Session Topics

In keeping with the BarCamp format for this event, we will decide collectively at the start of the day which topics we would like to hear about, who will teach them, and the order of sessions for the day.

The BlankSpaces venue has a range of sizes of meeting spaces, so we will likely have 1 or 2 larger sessions and several breakout sessions in smaller spaces.  Each space comes equipped with chairs, workspaces and whiteboards; we will also aim to have extra projectors and screens for those who would like to use them,

Topics that I would like to hear about (add your ideas to the list!):

Fundamentals Track and an Advanced Presenting Track?

  • Applying screenwriting secrets to presentations
  • Applying cinematography techniques to presentations
  • Presenting your story like a motion graphics artist
  • Using visual thinking to create your presentation
  • Mindmapping your presentation
  • Presenting a story in comic form
  • Presentation/performance techniques from screen & stage actors
  • Presentation/performance techniques from comedy improv actors
  • (add your ideas...)
  •

Topics that I would like to teach (add your name and topic to the list!):

Note for speakers and participants:

  • Following are only suggestions from people who plan to attend and would like to present.
  • On the morning of the event, anyone who would like to volunteer to present will give a 60-second pitch covering their topic, what you will get out of it, and how much time they would like to have.
  • Based on what we hear, we decide as a group what sessions we will schedule for the day.
  • If you would like to teach, please plan for a hands-on and interactive format, rather than a lecture format.)
