Session Ideas:

 

  1. How about a session on Social Media and "Breaking News" ? Are newspaper Web sites ready for spikes in traffic after a major local story? Can Social Media help them deliver the news while their site is down? Some Colombian newspapers had to deal with this issue after Ingrid Betancourt was rescued from captivity. ~ @SocialJulio
  2. How about a session on: Too Many Social Media APIs Not Enough Time There are many Social Media APIs such as OpenSocial, Google Gadgets, OpenId, Twitter, YouTube and Apple iPhone. There is just not enough time for publishers and developers to evaluate and select which APIs to deploy. What selection criteria are BarCamp community members using to evaluate these new technologies? Which ones are Hot and which ones are Not? @martinog
