Folks Who Are Interested (but unsure if they can make it)...

* Paul Gowder -- Stanford grad student -- this is very interesting and I'd really like to go to it.  HOWEVER: I strongly suggest bumping it a couple weeks.  Reason?  Stanford academic calendar starts pretty late in the fall.  Mid or late September could pick up many academic-types who wouldn't be there earlier.  Including myself.  I don't arrive until Sept. 11ish.  Anyway, if I go, I can help organize and can also offer talking on sundry things relating to the law (I have a JD and lots of geek-interested law knowledge), politics, etc. [Sorry the timing may not work for you.  The weekend was chosen to correspond with BarCampEarth and also because it is intersession - making venues and camping space easier to get. -- Todd

  • Dean Chen- I might come on Sunday
  • Lorin Thwaits (from Phoenix. If I end up coming then I can bring a projector if that helps at all)
  • Raines Cohen - possible Friday evening visitor, but Saturday I'm off to help build BurningMan, so unlikely I can stay at Stanford for the long haul.
  • Christopher Lin - undeclared Stanford undergrad '09. This looks awesome, but it'll really depend on what kind of transportation I can finagle. I don't know much to share, but I can help in whatever areas need support.
