Agenda (The plan in a draft form)
StartupCampWaterloo borrows from DemoCamp except we have a *main speaker* and a couple set presentations from members of the community. The StartupDemo gives you a chance to get your idea out there and get feedback so you can strengthen your idea.
- Keynote speaker - Albert Lai - on whatever he wants to talk about to an audience of existing and potential start ups
- food (be social)
- StartupDemo-style presentations, round 1;br>Breakdown:
- who are you?
- what issues do you want help with e.g., market validation, business model, marketing, etc
- give us your 30s to 5 minute pitch (depending on how many people we have signed up for this part of session)
- audience participation in answers
- break (start talking to people)
- Speaker: Funding - how it feels - Well.ca
- break (some more socializing)
- StartupDemo-style presentations, round 2
- done
Over the evening experts in certain topic areas will be identified, the idea is to use the break time to have small group discussions.
Demos (list will make up the StartupDemo presentations)
- Michael Fagan: if most people haven't seen Rajat's demo of Zimride, I will do a brief demo on his behalf
- Albert O'Connor: Purple, how does our idea suck?
- Avery Pennarun: one of: what to do and not do with financing; things I screwed up starting my last company; The Innovator's Dilemma and how to take advantage of it; Crossing the Chasm and how to do market segmentation; tricks for hiring people.
Please add what you would like to see at StartupCampWaterloo that isn't listed above.

What is it?
BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees.
(Part of the WatCamp community. The previous BarCampWaterloo was BarCampWaterloo_September06, BarCampWaterloo_December06, BarCampWaterloo_March07 and BarCampWaterloo_May07.)
