A group has been created so please join to discuss BarCamps or DemoCamps in the region. Also there's a Facebook group too!

 

Agenda (The plan in a draft form)

 

StartupCampWaterloo borrows from DemoCamp except we have a *main speaker* and a couple set presentations from members of the community. The StartupDemo gives you a chance to get your idea out there and get feedback so you can strengthen your idea.

 

  1. Speaker: Funding - how it feels - Well.ca
  2. food (be social)
  3. StartupDemo-style presentations, round 1;br>Breakdown:
    1. who are you?
    2. what issues do you want help with e.g., market validation, business model, marketing, etc
    3. give us your 30s to 5-10 minute pitch (depending on how many people we have signed up for this part of session)
    4. audience participation in answers
  4. break (start talking to people)
  5. repeat

 

Over the evening experts in certain topic areas will be identified, the idea is to use the break time to have small group discussions.

What is it?

 

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees. StartupCamp follows the same spirit but we try and focus on the joy a start up brings.
