Welcome to TweetCamp!

Follow @tweetcamp for the latest conversations..  You can also express your interest by joining our Facebook Group, and join the discussion by commenting on the blog.

What is a TweetCamp? An informal unconference style event, run over 48 hours, of non-stop engagement, interaction, and fun!

Following on the success from #twestival and #twinterval, and meeting people, and missing friends, and fellow twitterers - it feels like we need to have more time to catch up with folks,  and drift in and out of conversations..

Right now, TweetCamp is but an idea, a possibility of what it would be like to have an OpenSpace, for Twitterers..

Now, as in BarCamp style, the floor is open..

Who would like to come? Who would like to Sponsor? Who has ideas, or suggestions for a format?  Let's crowdsource an idea, if anyone else would like to join in and participate..

Suggested Date & Time:

Location: London/Sheffield/Bangalore

Sponsors:

What could we use a TweetCamp for? Suggest topics, themes, ideas or activities that we could do during the TweetCamp

Express your interest below in the format of Name/Twitter ID - what you're interested in - what you have to offer & contacts with venues, sponsors and date/time suggestion

  1. Farhan Rehman/@magitam - Interested in meeting more of the people I speak with on twitter in person - I can help organise and facilitate the event
  2. Richard Azia/ Warzabidul - Interested in meeting more twitter users/ also interested in exploring the idea of the social media lifestyle, Too much time is spent telling people how to market, not why it's relevant to us as users.
  3. Grant Bell/@grantbell - Meet more people!
  4. Jag Gill @jagusti - put faces to names, hear cool ideas, bring the backchannel into the foreground. Can help with organising. I would suggest a central UK location, such as Sheffield (not that I'm biased!), the weekend after Easter (18-19 Apr 2009).
  5. Mauricio Reyes @reyes - like the bio says: "Mobile, Web and new n'shiny stuff."
  6. Ian Ibbotson @ianibbo - Meeting up (esp. libs/edu/gov/semweb stuff) can also help with orgs. +1 for the "Central UK location like sheffield" :)
  7. Michael Litman @litmanlive - Put faces to names, bring the conversation offline and in to reality.
  8. Proactive Paul @proactivepaul - using twitter to link small business communities outside the normal twitter fraternity - big vote for London or M4 corridor.
  9. Sylwia Presley @sylwiapresley - Twitter ethics, etiquette; PR and WOM Marketing on Twitter - I can help finding sponsors; promote event on-line; would love to do a session on Twitter ethics.
  10. Daniel Amersdorffer = @Daniel_Amer - writing thesis about microblogging, I'll attend MBC09 Germany
  11. Jane Tandy @cahoots - putting faces to names, and getting to know those I already recognise better. Interested in exploring the idea of using Twitter in a work environment
