Background
David Heller here. After going to BarCampNYC (Thanx Amit and gang) I was so incredibly inspired, that I knew I wanted to do this for the UX community. I have presented the idea to the UXNet Local Ambassadors and some LAs liked the idea. I'm sure some of you will help me along. Really! I do hope and pray.
The difference here, is that I'm hoping that design and design research of software and technology devices are put central, while an open collaborative and engaging environment that developers can come to and share with the designers and researchers who we hope will be the focus.
What to do
- find a space - I have tried to make some contacts and network to find a space that is appropriate, but I'm not finding anything. Options: Choose a different city (DC maybe)? play with format a bit? 1-day event?
- pick a date
- advertise the event - We got a mention of the event in Boxes and Arrows this latest issue.
- find individual and organizational sponsors
- What else?
