It's a brainstorm. There are no bad ideas in brainstorms...right?

 

  • This topic is dull but gives me a lot of grief: Moving a (complex) WordPress install from a dev server to a live server, or moving WordPresses around in general. I've had some background with this and have some info to share, but also am looking for further advice.
  • Comment madness: I get great comments on my WordPress blog. And, yes, I have a comments feed and some great comments plugins. But no one subscribes to comments feeds (at least in my experience). I'm interested in bright ideas on how to promote conversational commenting, how to promote comments and how to highlight/lay them out in ways that more involve my readers. One idea I had was to whip together a plug in (if something like this doesn't already exist) that would concoct a daily comment-highlight post. I'd love some insight in these areas.
  • Has anyone dealt with fairly advanced navigation in a WordPress framework (i.e. many-layers-deep nested pages)? It can be very frustrating.
