What is a Barcamp?

A barcamp is an informal gathering of people interested in startups, technology, education, media, travel and popular culture. We talk about the projects we are working on and try to learn from each other.  If this is your first barcamp, please check out  the visual guide to barcamps.  We will have multiple rooms for you to run discussions and presentations. Come early in the day to post your topic on the topic wall. Depending on the popularity of the topic, we will assign a room and a time-slot for the speakers. Each session will run for 30 minutes. We will also run lighting talks - every presenter gets 5 minutes to do a mini-presentation.

Previous barcamps in Singapore were hosted by the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, NUS and supported by Yahoo!, Google, Sun, Motorola, Siemens, Brandtology, Opus, Sqlview, E27 and the tech community.
