Why CrowdfundingCamp?

Crowdfunding has proven in recent years as an alternative credible than traditional financing channels. With the JOBS Act, the United States opened a huge field where development even as VCs Fred Wilson did not hesitate to say that the traditional risk capital will experience a true disruption by these new actors. Cultural sectors and solidarity will also experience strong evolution thanks to this new tool.

In France, the actors of participatory finance met to seek changes in the legislative and regulatory framework to enable our economic fabric to benefit from these advances and to irrigate the economy where banks and other financial institutions are practically more present. Come share with us, around workshops built in the tradition of early barcamp event to imagine how this revolution can be put into practice here and now.

We did a round table indicating our points of interest to the subject and taking notes. Then we analyzed and tried to have a methodology for " Crowdfunding Campaign Ideal "(com & Marketing)

  1. Segment: choice of platform, interests, affinities => 3 segments (groups): 1: Sponsorship and Donations: 2: Investment (savings, business): 3: Pre-sale, buying group (household, conso .)
  2. What does the donor / investor? -> The values, goals ...
  3. Back to the investor (he wants information)
  4. Make the project "transparent", credibility, reinsurance contributes to awareness
  5. What timeline? Note: the time / deadlines tend to shorten, but we must retain so Paradox of Choice Campaign timeline
  6. The curve "U": The first circle of investors comes sharply after the period of "pre-selection" (platform, formulas, project ...), it is the type of circle "Meetic" (insiders " friends & family "," love funding ";-) The second circle comes after a decline in interest, the curve off again, the circle type" Facebook "(word of mouth, friends of friends, informed by the campaign, campaign success, capacity of the platform itself, loyalty) 

CONCLUSION:

What matters is the "why" of the project (see also by transparency and return the information to the investor). The methodological is based on the segment and the "why" of the project.

Subject that could develop a dedicated workshop to continue work on the project's marketing campaign.

NOTES:

  • bind to finance participatory concepts, cooperation, collaboration and co-creation (to be defined)
  • define on which territory you work (hyper local, open, national, international)
  • What pre-existing community ("fan-base", subscribers, members, etc.)
