What is BarCamp Redefining J School?

BarCamp Redefining J School is an afternoon for students, faculty, and professionals to talk about the future of the news, PR and advertising and how schooling could reflect the ever-changing media landscape. It will be a space for students to educate students, teachers to educate teachers and students to educate teachers.

If you've never attended, a BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. Another term for it is "unconference." The sessions are brainstormed in advance, but the schedule isn't set until the morning of the event and is determined in "open-grid" fashion. Attendees write the titles of sessions they would like to lead on index cards and post those on the grid schedule.
