All completely dependent on sponsors/donors . . .
T-shirts design and production
- We're hoping we can do a t-shirt. ("I was there at the beginning of history...camp," perhaps?) That means a design and production.
- We may use an approach that's been used successful at some past Boston Barcamps: Sign up and donate ($20?) and get a t-shirt when you show up; some additional shirts, but no guarantees of availability, at the event for a higher ($30?) donation. This had the effect of encouraging those interested to donate (to cover the cost) and get the size they wanted. Several who hadn't donated in advance, saw the shirts and wanted one, so the overrun went very quickly. As noted, the goal is to break even overall; this isn't a moneymaking venture.
- If you're a designer interested in submitting a design, please add a link to your design below in this section. Here are the requirements: It must say "History Camp," include the location (most likely Boston or Cambridge), and the date (TBD). Would be great if it also communicated clearly that this was the first one and included the URL. (We're hoping this will be sufficiently successful that there will be more in our area or elsewhere.) We'll figure out a way to vote or select based on the number of designs received. One reminder: We're trying to cover many eras in history.
- If you are in the business of printing t-shirts and want to participate by offering a discount or donating shirts, in whole or in part, let us know. (Lee Wright)
Laptop stickers
- Similar to above, but secondary. Might tie in to the t-shirt design, or might be completely different. If you're a designer interested in submitting a design, please add a link to your design below in this section.
