HistoryCamp is completely dependent on sponsors/donors . . .

T-shirts design and production

We're looking for a designer for the t-shirt

  • Need the art by February 6.
  • Must have the words "History Camp" "Cambridge" and either the date (March 8, 2014) or just the year (2014).
  • While there will be several presentations related to the RevWar, the shirt should suggest a breadth of eras and history topics
  • The event follows the barcamp format, but we're History Camp.  Nonetheless, there is a common graphical element for barcamps (looks like radiating flames), that would be nice to include in some manner as a tip of the hat to the format and anyone in-the-barcamp-know.  Note that I don't think we need to follow the approach of creating a logo, per se, as others have done, but this does show using the flame graphic in creative ways.  The t-shirt designs are more varied.
  • This is the first History Camp ever--anywhere--and that seems like a point that should be made somehow.  (I thought of a front/back execution: "I made history...camp!"  Probably too corny.)  Whatever the design,we want something that people want wear.  Would also be nice to include the city and the date or at least the year.
  •  We're trying to make these affordable, so trying to stay with 2 color on one side, but would consider (and price) other options if you really think the design needs more.
  • We might also print the design in a large postcard size to give away.
  • If you're a designer and interested in submitting a design, contact us. (Lee Wright)
  • If you are in the business of printing t-shirts and want to participate by offering a discount or donating shirts, in whole or in part, let us know. (Lee Wright)
